Meet Our Lesson Horses & Ponies

Welcome to our barn! We have a great cross section of horses and ponies to meet many different types of riders' needs. Our lesson horses range from small to large, beginner to advanced. We do have a weight limit for our horses, and are unable to accommodate riders weighing over 150 pounds in order to keep our horses sound and competition ready.

Pepper, show name: Dreamcatcher

Pepper is a 12.2hh, 17 year old, dark brown and white pinto pony mare. She has won many hundreds of horse show ribbons and championships in her career with us, and is very recognizable at the shows. She teaches beginner level and up lessons for the smaller riders.

Teddy, show name: Clanfair Encore

Teddy is a 15 year old, 14h, chestnut Welsh pony gelding. He has been very successful with us in shows over the past several years, in the walk/trot, up through the 2'6" jumpers. He has a very fun and quirky personality, and lives for treats.

Chance, show name: Jack Frost

Chance is an 11 year old, 16h, grey Thoroughbred gelding from Indiana. He has a sweet personality, and can be ridden and shown by the more confident riders. He has been winning consistently in the walk/trot, up through the 2'6" jumpers.

Finnley, show name: Whitehedge Cardinal

Finnley is a 10 year old, 14.1h Welsh Thoroughbred gelding from California. He is a very talented jumper pony, already winning lots of champions and reserve champions since coming to us in April.

Buttons, show name: Cute As A Button

Buttons is a 7 year old, 13.2h Pony of the Americas mare, recently coming to us from North Carolina. She is a total sweetheart who loves attentions and treats, and is currently winning in the 2' and 2'3" hunter divisions.

Cruise, show name: Cruise In Style

Cruise is an 8 year old, 16.2h Thoroughbred gelding from New Mexico. He is recently off the race track, and has been in training to join the lesson program for a little while. He is a very talented horse, and we are hopeful that he will be an asset to our lesson and show program in the future.
